We have recently seen growing interest among Creo-Parametric users. For Creo-Parametric users, a big challenge presented by the growing amount of product data, is how to aggregate, access, and find the product data they need in an intuitive and simple way. More often than not, the data they need will be sourced amongst different file types, e.g. CAD, PDF, Excel, etc and fragmented in disparate locations throughout the company.For example, here are two screen shots that illustrate Inforbix working with Creo-Parametric data. On the first, we see the Inforbix Search results for all “my” Creo Parametric documents from previous projects:
On the second, we see a report generated using Inforbix Tables that is automatically updated each time a change is made to any Creo Parametric document. Reports can be customized, saved, shared, and monitored for changes:
Some Creo Parametric users have asked us if Inforbix supports Windchill and can index data from therein. The answer is yes, we can access and index information from Windchill and a growing number of PDM/PLM systems. However, we don’t yet have a live customer situation we can share. We do, for example, have a use-case of SmarTeam and Pro/E. Here’s a screen shot of that situation:
